She grew up locally in Arlington and McLean, Virginia. She went on to the University of Mary Washington, where she played collegiate basketball and received her degree in Business Administration and Sports Management. After graduating, Emily gained valuable experience in Wealth Management at RBC. During her time in Wealth Management, Emily acquired insightful knowledge about financing and the market. She helped in assisting clients in successfully reaching their financial goals through personalized guidance and strategic planning. Emily soon realized her passion for understanding people and empowering them to achieve their goals. Being a student-athlete, she learned many valuable skills such as time management, hard work, and teamwork that have helped her in many avenues of life. In addition, she always had natural gifts for her attention to detail, organization, and design. Emily discovered how her passions for sales and understanding clients' needs and aspirations correlated cohesively with real estate. One of the most fulfilling aspects for her is witnessing the joy on client's faces when she helps them find a possible forever home. In 2023, Emily joined The Shively Team, working alongside her mother, to provide exceptional service to their clients. Aside from her professional pursuits, Emily dedicates her free time to various activities. She volunteers as a coach for a youth girls' McLean travel basketball team, combining her passion for sports and her desire to mentor young athletes. Additionally, she serves as a fitness instructor with F45 Training in Tysons, further showcasing her commitment to health and wellness. Emily's other interests include cooking new recipes, exploring with her family and their dog Beau, attending concerts, playing sports with friends, and embracing new experiences.
