In 1997 he bought his first tri-plex. He then bought 5 more apartment buildings over a two year period. That lead him to get his real estate license, but he used it for investing. In 2003, John and his wife and moved to Costa Rica. John bought over 200 acres of ocean view property. He became a partner-owner-President of the Coldwell Banker Costa Rica master franchise. Under his leadership, he grew the brand from 2 to 12 offices and over 65 agents. John was also a luxury broker. His niche was in the infant luxury residential market and sold several dozen properties in ten years. John, his wife and daughter, relocated to Delray Beach, Fl. in 2015. They bought their first downtown Delray home in 2018. After a couple years settling in, he got his Florida real estate license. John’s brand, MrDowntownDelray, positions him as a Hyperlocal Delray Beach realtor focusing on the community and what it offers. He enjoys promoting local businesses via his growing marketing channels. John received his GREEN realtor designation. That opened the door for him to also write about sustainable building and living ideas, ways to save money via smart homes, and educate people about how to live with a lighter footprint. John is a passionate realtor who loves working with others and create the right marketing strategy to help homeowners sell their home, while helping home buyers navigate through their purchasing process in Delray Beach and the surrounding communities.
