I moved to Manhattan from Long Island in 2001. While my career path as a financial analyst seemed clear, I was intrigued by real estate, became a licensed realtor in 2003 and worked in real estate part time while I spent my days at top financial institutions like Credit Suisse Asset Management, JP Morgan Chase and Barclays Capital. A Chelsea resident, I purchased a co-op in 2006 and am a frequent contributor to my building’s website. In May 2009, when I decided to leave finance behind and work in real estate full time, I joined Eastpointe Residential, Inc. I wear many hats at Eastpointe Residential, serving not only as an agent but also – thanks to my background in financial services and in-depth knowledge of the NYC real estate market – as a contributor to the firm’s marketing and financial initiatives. For many people, real estate is the biggest investment they’ll make in their lifetime; consequently, I feel a broker/client relationship based on mutual trust is crucial.
