After high school, Lindsay attended Willamette University in Salem, Oregon, before returning home to Montana. Lindsay has been active in youth athletics and is community involved in the Flathead Valley, having served as a baseball coach for over 10 years and as a board member for the local non-profit Flathead Area Mountain Bikers. Lindsay, along with his wife Kortny, son Cohen (9), and daughter Phoebe (4) enjoy all the outdoor activities and experiences Montana has to offer.
